312 College Avenue Project, Ithaca, NY
This project involved the construction of 121 apartments for student housing in the City of Ithaca for use mainly by Cornell University students. The building is 6-stories high plus a penthouse mechanical room and is constructed of masonry bearing walls and pre-cast concrete plank floors. The building includes amenities such as a theatre, workout room, laundry room, study rooms, and 6,000 sf of retail/rental space. The building is fully air-conditioned, heated with a gas-fired hydronic boiler system has individually electrical metering for each unit, pre-wired telecommunications, full sprinkler and fire alarm protection, emergency generator, and a two-story below grade parking facility. Q.E. provided all M/E/P/FP design and construction phase services. |
