The Elms
Newport, RI
Quantum Engineering Co., P.C. performed the mechanical and electrical portions of historic structure report for this early 1900’s Newport mansion. Built for a Pennsylvania coal magnate, this house includes a still functional low pressure steam system which was originally served by coal fired cast-iron water tube boilers. The scope of our work also included the restoration of the steam boiler heating system for display to the public, as well as providing a new functional system.
