Ann Lee Nursing Home
This 175 bed, three (3) story masonry nursing home was constructed in the 1960's and was not equipped with air-conditioning. Consequently, the building becomes very hot during the summer months, which lasts well into
the evening due to the mass of the building. Quantum Engineering Co., was directed to provide a mechanical ventilation system within the attic spaces to alleviate this overheating. The various ventilation system fans were powered from local power panels
and were controlled from fan shut-down controls interlocked with the fire alarm.
